Del Norte County Regional Airport Terminal

Our team worked with the Del Norte County stakeholders to develop a program, space relationships, and design that responds to their unique environment, community, and operation.  The design is sustainable with a focus on employing local labor to build and maintain the building.

The building design takes advantage of the incredible views along the coast.  The view to the South from the mezzanine waiting area features the best view of Castle Rock in the county.  The remaining public spaces throughout the building are designed to bring the beautiful North coast environment inside.  Large overhangs around the entire building will help preserve the building in the harsh coastal conditions for the life of the building and protect passengers and patrons from the weather alike.

The deliverable package was a "Bridging Design" set; including 100% Design Development level drawings, an outline specification, and a design narrative.
